Cold. Heat. Balance. Three words that hold a complete philosophy.
A practice as old as the body, refined for now.

Step into the experience.

"Baan" — บ้าน — means home in Thai.
This is where your body comes home to itself.

Three acts.
One complete reset.

Enter the Heat
Step 01

Enter the Heat

Step into the Finnish sauna. Cedar walls, kiuas stones, and rising steam. Your body begins its ancient recalibration.

Break the Surface
Step 02

Break the Surface

Plunge into 6°C ice water. Breath, cold shock, clarity — the precise sequence that unlocks your body's highest adaptation response.

Rest in the Garden
Step 03

Rest in the Garden

Between rounds, breathe. The tropical garden, outdoor shower, and reclining chairs form the third element — stillness.

Frequently asked
questions.

An ice bath (cold plunge) involves immersing your body in water at 4–8°C for 2–5 minutes. Benefits include reduced muscle inflammation, improved circulation, elevated mood through endorphin release, enhanced immune function, and improved sleep quality. At Baan, our ice bath is maintained at 3–10 °C to provide optimal cold exposure therapy while accommodating users of all experience levels.

Our Finnish-style sauna uses traditional construction, heating to 80–100 °C. A typical session lasts 15–20 minutes — the dry heat promotes deep sweating, muscle relaxation, cardiovascular conditioning, and detoxification. Pouring water over the stones (löyly) creates bursts of steam to intensify the experience.

Contrast therapy alternates between hot (sauna) and cold (ice bath) exposure. This cycling constricts and dilates blood vessels, flushing metabolic waste, boosting circulation, and triggering a powerful hormonal response including norepinephrine and dopamine. The combination produces benefits greater than either therapy alone — a complete physiological reset.

Absolutely. Our ice bath protocol is designed for all levels. Beginners typically start with 1–2 minutes and gradually build tolerance. Our staff will guide you through breathing techniques to manage the cold shock response. We recommend avoiding ice baths if you have uncontrolled cardiovascular conditions — consult your physician if unsure.

A full session at Baan takes approximately 2–3 hours. This includes multiple rounds of our three-step protocol: sauna (15–20 min), ice bath plunge (2–5 min), and garden rest (10–15 min). Most guests complete 3–4 rounds. Your day pass gives you unlimited access during opening hours.

Bring yourself and your swimwear! We provide towels, shower amenities, and all necessary equipment. Wearing swimwear is required for both the sauna and ice bath. We also recommend staying hydrated — water is available throughout the facility. Avoid heavy meals 2 hours before your session for the best experience.

Yes! We offer a 5-session package (฿2,250, valid for 5 months) and a 10-session package (฿4,000, valid for 10 months). Both packages are shareable with friends and family. Individual day passes are ฿490 per visit. All packages include full access to our sauna, ice bath, and garden facilities.

Baan Ice Bath & Sauna is located at Phutthamonthon Sai 2, near Mahidol University, Bangkok. We are open Friday to Sunday, 09:00–18:00. Set within a private tropical garden, our sanctuary offers a peaceful escape from the city while remaining easily accessible.
